The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) is offering 10 young people a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win a place on their Get Ahead Programme for school and college leavers.
Those on the programme will gain valuable experience in many different areas across the organisation – from sport to marketing. The successful candidates will take up placements in two different departments before taking up a permanent position. Placements will be available across London 2012, for example, with the legal, marketing, communications, venues, sport, culture, education, human resources and operations teams.
Paul Deighton, the Chief Executive of LOCOG, said: “Working to help stage the London 2012 Games will undoubtedly give the successful young people an unrivalled start to their careers. We want the 2012 Games to inspire the youth of the world, so it is absolutely right that we employ young people to help us achieve this.”
